30 A VERDICT REQUIRED At this juncture, the unbiased should reflect how much humil- iation I was prepared to face in the event that this prophecy turned out to be false, and the [immense] degree of trust that had been placed upon this prophecy for [judging] my truth- fulness or falsehood. Thereupon, how can those who believe in the existence of God, and are aware of the fact that everything is happening under His will and that the final verdict of every dispute is decreed by His hand, claim that such a magnificent case-the outcome of which was eagerly anticipated by two great nations-simply came about by chance, without the knowledge and will of God? As if the case that was entrusted to God was casually [resolved and] recorded into the ledger in His ignorance without being graced by His decisive judgment! If such ideas are deemed worthy of credibility, then the suc- cession of all prophetic dispensations and the entire system of shariahs [religious laws] would suddenly collapse in disarray, insofar as the event which appeared in the manner of a heav- enly testimony against an enemy subsequent to a challenge with so much insistence, shone forth with the utmost clarity in con- formity with the agreed upon Signs—if that itself is dismissed as futile and false, then what remains of religion and the existence of God; nay rather, it would be the instantaneous obliteration of all heavenly truths! Then the second Divinely revealed prophecy regarding Lekh Ram is recorded on page 54 of [my book] Karāmātuş-Şādiqin, and on the last title page of the aforesaid book, and it is as follows:
