16 A VERDICT REQUIRED وَ إِنْ يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبُكُمْ بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ ! Meaning that, this is the sign of a truthful person that some of his prophecies are fulfilled. The condition of 'some' is added because in the prophecies of warning, the delaying or averting of punishment is permissible in the state of taubah [repentance] and turning back to God, even if no condition is stipulated. Thus, it is possible that some prophecies of punishment may be postponed and not be fulfilled within their appointed time, as happened for the people of Jonah. In short, to doubt a proph- ecy made in the name of God that is fulfilled and to dismiss it as coincidence is so to speak-an attack against the religious institution of God Almighty and a resolve to demolish the entire edifice of Prophethood. Having recorded these preliminary facts up to this point, I now present the series of revealed testimonies, the investiga- tion of which is important and necessary before issuing a fatwa. In the aforementioned explanations, I have already refuted the questions that could have been raised against these testimonies, and perhaps some more will be written in the future as well. Now, having written these preliminary facts up to this point, I first reproduce Pandit Lekh Ram's letters and the summary of the agreement, along with the replies, which came into existence as mutual correspondence before this prophecy, and they are as follows: 1.
