HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD AS 15 died by means of murder on a coincidental basis, then on that same basis it was also possible for a coincidental event to occur whereby no one intended to kill him, or—if someone did-he would have failed in his intention. Or, if he made any attempt, it was possible that it would not reach the point of death. Then what is the reason why all the possible coincidences of the other aspects did not come into being, but this coincidence, which is possessed of its own inherent challenges in relation to the other aspects, came to pass? Did God do this or someone else? Hence, that All-Knowing and All-Hearing God to Whose justice both parties had submitted this case, and regarding Whom one party had even announced that He revealed to me that He would do just that-why should it be assumed about Him that He did not give a just verdict? And why should it be considered that He espoused the cause of a liar? If it is accepted that it is also the practice of God that He fulfils even the prophecies of such a liar who presents those prophecies as proof of his truthfulness, then it is as if the deliberate plan of God-by equating liars with the truthful-is to obliterate and overturn the entire foundation of truth. If it is true that God is the Defender of the truthful, fulfilling His promises and not the fabrications, then it is incumbent upon an unbiased individual to accept the fundamental rule that if any prophecy is made in the name of God and it comes true, it is indeed from God. And if this principle is not accepted, then all the Books of God will be left without proof, and the paths of believing in their truth will be closed. It is towards this indeed that Allah the Almighty alludes and says:
