AN-NISA' PT. 5 يَايُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلوةَ O ye who believe! approach. 44 وَأَنْتُمْ سُكْرَى حَتَّى تَعْلَمُوْا مَا تَقُولُونَ (KY, not Prayer when you are not in full possession of your senses, وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِى سَبِيلِ حَتَّى until you know what you says w nor when you are unclean, تَغْتَسِلُوا وَاِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلى except when you are travelling سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ مِّنَ الْغَابِطِ أَوْ along a way, until you have bathed. And if you are ill or you لمَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا are on a journey while unclean or if one of you comes from the صَعِيدًا طَيْبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُم privy or you have touched وَأَيْدِيكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَفُوا غَفُورًا ,women and you find no water then betake yourselves to pure dust and wipe therewith your faces and your hands. Surely, Allah is Most Indulgent, Most Forgiving. 520 information; an announcement; news or tidings; an account; a narration or story; a tradition; a thing or matter or that is talked of or narrated transmitted; any talk or discourse that one hears. The word also means, new or recent or brought into existence newly (Lane & Aqrab). Commentary: The expression, will wish that the earth were made level with them, shows that the words 'earth and heaven' as mentioned in the Quran, do not always signify the physical earth and heaven but may represent one's existing moral and spiritual condition. On the day when men will stand before God, the earth will have ceased to exist for them. 520. Important Words: (not in full possession of your senses) is the plural of which is derived from ✓ i. e. he was or became intoxicated, inebriated or drunken. They say Swi. e. such a one became angry or violently angry with him. means, the wind, سكر الباب. became still after blowing means, he closed or stopped up the door. means, the intoxication or agony of death which causes confusion of intellect and deprives the sufferer of reason. silly all w means, the oppressive sensation, etc. attendant upon anxiety and upon sleep.
