PREFACE 71 against your own limbs. So do not thrust your hand into the fire wrongly lest the fire flare up and consume it. Bear in mind that if this had been man's doing, many would have emerged to destroy it. Moreover, it would definitely not have survived for twelve years, which is the age of maturity. Do you recall seeing any impostor who, having claimed falsely to receive converse from God, survived and remained secure for such a long time? It is a pity that you neither reflect upon nor recall the verses of the Noble Quran where Allah, glorified be His eminence, Himself says with reference to the Noble Prophet, that had he falsely attributed the smallest thing to God, He would have severed his jugular vein. Who is dearer to God than the Holy Prophet, that he should not only survive such a great imposture, but should be enriched by the bounties of God Almighty? Brothers! Refrain from self-deception and do not exceed the bounds of your obstinacy regarding matters which are specifically in the realm of God's knowledge. Break the chains of your habits, and, becoming a new person, tread along the paths of taqwa [righteousness] so that you may receive mercy and God Almighty may forgive your sins. Fear God and restrain yourselves. Is there not a single one of you who is rightly وَإِنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهُوا فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيَ اللهُ بِنُصْرَةٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ وَيَنْصُرَ عَبْدَهُ وَيُمَزِّقَ أَعْدَاءَهُ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُ ?guided [If you do not desist, God will soon bring help to His servant from Himself and will smash his enemies and you will not be able to do him any harm whatsoever]. مگر روزے دہندت میو ہائے پر حلاوت را بده از چشم خود آبی درختان محبت را Water the trees of love with the tears of your eyes, So that someday they may give you their sweet fruit. کجا باشد خبر زان مه گرفتاران صورت را مه اسلام در باطن حقیقت با ہمے دارد The Moon of Islam has many verities within it; How can people who are captivated by superficial looks know of [the qualities of] this Moon?
