660 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS a Wali [Friend (of Allah)], actually fights with Almighty Allah, and shall end up being vanquished. It is now fully proven to me that those people are very unjust who, from a distance, declare Mirza Ṣāḥib to be a lying dajjāl [deceiver] without meeting and talking to him. They concoct wrong meanings of his words or accept the interpretation of someone else without due investigation and without inquiring from Mirza Ṣāḥib himself. The heavenly honey which Mirza Ṣāḥib is dispensing is labelled by them as satanic poison, and because of their hard-heartedness and veil of enmity, they label from afar the rose as urine. The common people, in following their leaders, stay away from consuming his food and drink and harm themselves from head to toe as a result. Maulawi Muhammad Husain, my old-time friend and for- mer leader, is foremost in diverting people from Mirza Ṣāḥib and inciting hatred against him. I had earlier dissuaded him from Mirza Ṣāḥib, and he, in turn, misled me and separated me from the right path. So we are even. However, Maulawi Ṣāḥib is still adamant. Now, when Mirza Ṣāḥib invited me to the Jalsa, some informant also told Maulawi [Muhammad Husain] Ṣāḥib about it. He wrote me a letter through his lawyer. Pretending to be a sympathetic advisor, he made such adversarial comments and used such inappropriate words about Mirza Ṣāḥib, that I cannot bear to repeat them. Maulawī Ṣāḥib did not consider that in addition to being a respected elder, Mirza Ṣāḥib is a close relative of mine. Still he claims to love me. What a pity! There were more than 300 gentle and pious people gath- ered in this Jalsa. Islamic light was radiating from their faces. There were all kinds of people-rich, poor, nawwāb, engineer, sub-inspector police, tehsildar, landowner, merchants, physi- cians. People of all kinds were present. Of course, there were also some maulawis, but humble maulawis. Adding the word humble and self effacing to the title of maulawis is a miracle
