630 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS He also explained that although the news of descent had been given in many of the aḥādīth, that particular descent is of a different context—that is, as a figurative expression and met- aphor; not an actual literal descent-because a literal descent runs contrary to the explicit and decisive dicta of the Noble Quran and the authentic aḥādīth, taking a step towards which would be like doubting the news given by God Almighty. After Maulawī Ṣāḥib's address, Sayyed Ḥāmid Shah of Sialkot recited an ode. After this speech, there was the brief speech of His Holiness Mirza Ṣāḥib in which he refuted some points of the pres- ent-day ulema which, in their view, are the basis of their edicts of disbelief. And along with that, he gave proof through heavenly Signs of his being the Promised Messiah. He also informed the audience of the fulfilment of the prophecy that was published in the Nur Afshan issue of 10 May 1888. It had been explained on several occasions to complete the argument, that the fulfil- ment of this prophecy is actually a Sign of the truth of his claim because this prophecy was manifested solely for those gentle- men who doubt whether Ḥaḍrat Mirza [Ghulam Ahmad] Sahib was commissioned by Allah. For them, this would be a proof established directly from Almighty Allah regarding his claim. This proof is decisive because, according to the teachings of the Noble Quran and Torah, the prophecy of a false claimant of being commissioned by Allah, cannot prove truthful. The reason is that if Almighty God causes any prophecy of a liar's false claim to be true, then his claim would stand proven and God's created servants would be misled.
