I have been commissioned by the Benevolent and Glorious God, So I arose, being neither lazy nor lethargic. And my book, which is resplendent Like the splendour of pearls and emeralds You will find the light of Divine cognizance in it As if it is a ray of the sun or a bar of pure gold. And I see in it a remedy for the seeker after truth By which the fortunate find contentment of heart and are guided. I have strung in it the pearls of knowledge and wisdom; I have organized it like a skilled writer. It contains many pearls of guidance; So-O my friend!--search for them and be not hasty. 1. This Qasidah was not included in the Arabic section of the first edition of A'ina-e-Kamālāt-e-Islām but was later incorporated into the first edition of At-Tabligh. [Publisher]
