589 AL-QAŞIDAH-GUIDANCE FOR THOSE WHO REFLECT أَزِيْدُ بِفَضْلِهِ يَوْمًا فَيَوْمًا وَأَصْلِى قَلْبَ مُنْتَظِرِ الْوَبَالِ I am progressing day by day; Thus burning the hearts of those who desire my destruction. أَلَا يَا حَاسِدِيْ خَفْ قَهْرَ رَبِّن وَمَا آلُوكَ نُصْحًا فِي الْمَقَالِ O my envious opponent! Fear you Lord. I am not being negligent in giving you good advice. فَلَا تَسْتَكْبِرَنَّ بِفَوْرِ عُجْبٍ وَكَمْ مِنْ مُّزْدَهِي صَيْدُ النَّكَالِ Do not be arrogant out of self-conceit- Many proud and haughty ones have tasted awe-striking punishment. الدَّنِيَّةُ يَا خَاطِبَ الدُّنْيَا سهَامُ الْمَوْتِ تَفْجَأُ يَا عَزِيزِي تَذَكَّرُ يَوْمَ قُرْبٍ الْإِرْتحَالِ O seeker of the mundane world! Bear in mind the day of the departure. وَلَوْ طَالَ الْمَدَى فِي الْإِنْتِقَالِ O my dear! The arrows of death strike unawares― Even if the time of departure from the world is prolonged. هَدَاكَ اللهُ قَدْ جَادَلْتَ بُغْضًا فِي قَوْلِى وَقَالِي وَمَا فَكَّرْتَ May Allah guide you. You opposed out of envy وَكَمْ أَكْفَرْتَنِي كِذَّبًا وَزُوْرًا And did not ponder over my words. وَكَمْ كَذَّبْتَ مِنْ زَيْغِ الْخَيَالِ You have given falsehood to me by lying and deceit And called me an infidel due to your perverted thinking. وَإِنِّي قَدْ أَرى قَدْ ضَاعَ دِينُك فَقُمْ وَارْبَا به الرِّحَالِ قَبْلَ And I see that your religions is being lost, So arise and safeguard it before the day of departure.
