A'INA-E-KAMALAT-E-ISLAM-DAFI UL-WASĀWIS رَأَيْتُ بِفَضْلِ رَبِّي سُبُلَ رَبِّن وَإِنْ كَانَتْ أَدَقَّ مِنَ الْهِلَالِ I found the paths of the graces of the Lord through His grace, Even though they were thinner and finer than the crescent moon. وَكَمْ سِر أَرَانِي نُورُ رَبِّن وَ آيَاتٍ عَلَى صِدْقِ الْمَقَالِ How many a mystery did my Lord's light reveal to me― And how many a Sign confirmed the truth that I proclaimed! وَعِلْم يَبْهَرَنَّ عُقُولَ نَاسِ وَرَأْيِ قَدْ عَلَا قُنَنَ الْجِبَالِ He granted me knowledge that will overpower the intellect of the foes And granted me ideas that are loftier than the mountains. سَعَيْتُ وَمَا وَنَيْتُ بِشَوْقِ رَبِّي إلى أَنْ جَاءَنِي رَيَّا الْوِصَالِ I remained steadfast in my quest of nearness to my. Lord Until I smelled the fragrance of union with the Beloved. 588 إلى أَنْ لَاحَ إِن نُورُ الْجَمَالِ وَقَدْ أُشْرِبْتُ كَأْسًا بَعْدَ كَأْسٍ I was bestowed drink after drink Until I was totally engulfed into the Light of Beauty. وقد أُعْطِيْتُ ذَوْقًا بَعْدَ ذَوقِ وَنَعْمَاءَ الْمَحَبَّةِ وَالدَّلَالِ I was granted zest after zest And the blessings of love and playfulness. وَجَدْتُ حَيَاتَ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ مَوْتِى وَعَادَتْ دَوْلَتِي بَعْدَ الزَّوَالِ I found life after my. annihilation- My wealth returned to me after I gave it up. كَانَ أُكْلِي لفَاظَاتُ الْمَوَائِدِ كَانَ وَصِرْتُ الْيَوْمَ مِطْعَامَ الْأَهَالِن There was a time when I was fed leftovers, Yet today I feed the masses.
