510 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS narrow reefs of subtle matters as swiftly as clouds, and your intellect and wisdom delves deep into abstruse matters as an eagle pounces on its prey. You wield a dexterous hand in sifting out the right con- clusion from deep and delicate matters, and in seeking truth you have performed many a magnificent feat. By the grace of God you are from those who, after exploring the various ways of performing a task, come to the right decision and err not. O Queen! You certainly recognize every pure gem, and through a profound intellect and a penetrating intelligence, you comprehend the subtleties of justice. With respect to this talent, you have an abun- dance of lofty examples which display your refined taste and good governance, even the nobility praising you. After considering your excellences and beautiful characteristics, the fragrance of which have spread all over the world, it was now revealed to my heart that I should apprise you of a great matter that your station may be elevated before the Gracious Lord. I do mention this with the force of pure sincerity, since my sincerity demands that I should call you to that which bene- fits you, and should not refrain from that by obligations of gratitude. Indeed, actions are judged by their intentions, and it is by the purity of intention that the sincere are recognized. It does not behove a truly loyal person to conceal a matter that contains good for his benefactor; rather, he should offer his possession to him and keep nothing secret from him. O glorious and gracious Queen! It really surprises me that despite possessing such great grace, knowledge, and wisdom, you still do not believe in the religion of Islam, and you do not reflect into this as deeply as you do into other matters of great import. In fact, you can see through even the dark night, but now the sun is shining. Then what has come over you that you fail to see in broad daylight? O glorious Queen! May Allah help you. Know for certain that Islam is a fusion of every light, the fountainhead of every stream, and that garden of fruit from which all other religions are merely offshoots. Look at its beauty, splendour, and heavenliness, and be of those who
