482 Ā'ĪNA-E-KAMĀLĀT-E-ISLĀM―DĀFI‘UL-WASĀWIS Do you find any space left for your imaginary Dajjāl to place his feet on the earth as long as they are there? Pity be upon your reason! How do you create a Dajjāl other than the clerics of this [Christian] nation? And on which part of the land will you make him rule over? Do you not know that the Promised Messiah will come only at the time of the domination of the people of the cross? How are you being turned away? Don't you see that Allah has established the power of these peoples over the greater part of the world and has sent down rain for them in abundance and has given them the means for everything and has supported them in everything they do? Now, how is it possible for anyone, as you presume, other than them to govern the whole world other than them? I am surprised by your understanding! Are you awake or asleep? Have you forgotten that you believe that the Messiah shall come to break the cross? If the Dajjal were to hold the power over the whole world, then how would the cross and its believers-the Christians— have an impact along with him? Do you not understand? O ye ignorant ones! Do you not realize that these two things contradict each other and cannot coexist at the same time? When you believe that the Dajjal will have supremacy over the whole world except two Holy Cities-Makkah and Madinah-then what space left for the dominance of the cross and its believers? Can you estab- lish its truthfulness and testify to it? What has happened to you that you do not realize this glaring contradiction? Some of your statements run contrary to your other statements, and you have deceived others regarding the sayings of the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), yet you declare yourselves to be true on oath. You continue to deceive those who are weak at heart, in reason, and wisdom. You embellish your falsehood in their eyes and alter the word of Allah and His Messenger with addition or deletion. You cannot remove these contradictions or mend them or reconcile them however much you may desire, even if you were to help one another.
