HADRAT MIRZA GHULAM AHMAD وَكَانَ كَلَامُ مُعْجِزُ آيَةً لَّهُ كَذلِكَ لِي قَوْلِي عَلَى الْكُلِّ يَبْهَرُ Among his miracles was his miraculous speech as well; Likewise, I too have been granted the speech that prevails against everyone. إِذَا الْقَوْمُ قَالُوْا يَدَّعِي الْوَحْيَ عَامِدًا عَجِبْتُ فَإِنِّي ظِلُّ بَدْرٍ يُنَوِّرُ When my people alleged that I am false in my claim to receiv- ing divine revelation, I was surprised because I am only a reflection of the Moon [i. e. the Holy Prophet]. وَأَنِّي لِظِلٍّ أَنْ يُخَالِفَ أَصْلَهُ فَمَا فِيهِ فِي وَجْهِي يَلُوحُ وَيَزْهَرُ How can the reflection be different from the object it origi- nates from? The light in him is shining forth through me. 134 وَمِنْ طِيْنِهِ الْمَعْصُوْمِ طِيْنِي مُعَطَّرُ وَإِنِّي لَذُو نَسَبٍ كَأَصْلٍ أُطِيعُهُ I have noble ancestry like Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, And the essence of his pure nature is also found in me. وَلَيْسَ لِنَسْبٍ ذُو صَلَاحٍ مُعَيِّرُ كَفَى الْعَبْدَ تَقْوَى الْقَلْبِ عِنْدَ حَسِيْبِنَا It is quite sufficient for a person to be pious of heart; And a righteous person cannot be treated with disrespect just because he does not belong to a noble lineage.
