THE MIRACLE OF AHMAD وَلكِنْ قَضَى رَبُّ السَّمَاءِ لِأَئِمَّةٍ لَهُمْ نَسَبٌ كَيْ لَا يَهِيجَ التَّنَفُرُ The Lord of the heavens, however, desired for the Imams to be descended from a noble ancestry, So that people may not look at them with contempt in view of their inferior ancestry. وَمَنْ كَانَ ذَا نَسْبٍ كَرِيمٍ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ حَسَبُ فَهُوَ الدَّنِيُّ الْمُحَقَّرُ He, who descends from a noble ancestry, But is devoid of personal excellences, is only mean and worthless. جَمَعْنَاهُمَا حَقًّا فَلِلَّهِ نَشْكُرُ وَلِلَّهِ حَمْدٌ ثُمَّ حَمْدٌ فَإِنَّنَا God be praised and praised again that I comprehend in my person, A noble lineage both from my side and from the side of my in-laws. I therefore thank God for this. جَرَتْ مِنْ قَدِيمِ الدَّهْرِ فَاخْشَوْا وَأَبْصِرُوا كَذلِكَ سُنْنُ اللَّهِ فِي أَنْبِيَائِهِ This, from the very beginning, is the practice of Almighty God in relation to His Prophets; You ought to fear Him and reflect. وَأَمَّا الَّذِي مَا جَاءَ مِثْلَ أَئِمَّةٍ فَلَيْسَ لِذلِكُ شَرْطُ نَسْبٍ فَأَبْشِرُوا However, he who is not from among the Imams, Is not in need of a noble ancestry. Hence, rejoice. 135
