AN ADMONITION This is what I desired [to say] in order to dispel your delusions, silence you, and refute you. So abandon your opposition and eschew your sins. Think seriously rather than frivolously and fear the glory of God rather than the words of an old man or a young person. O feeble person of weak sight! Repent, as you have deviated from the truth. Come, and I will heal your vision; I have kohl and the applicator. Allah will remove your confusion and reform that which has consumed your mind, provided that you are among the seekers. Do not say, 'I possess such-and-such knowledge, as I know you and recognise who you are; you are not hidden from me. I have long known you to be a foolish person, so when did you become a jurist? Will you not give up your meddling and abandon your devil? Do you not have any shame? I have concluded mention of the prophecies of the Mahdi in this book since I gave a detailed account of them in other books for my dear ones. However, I have mentioned a single great Sign here. It constitutes the first Sign of his advent and the first arrow from Allah in support of his commission: both the sun and moon have been eclipsed and everyone with eyes saw them; as such, they took the place of two just witnesses. Therefore, repent and remember the declaration of the Chief of Both Worlds. The truth has come to light. No one will deny it except he who pursues falsehood. So do not exult in what you possess; do not clap or strut about blithely, winking your eyes; do not sing with gaping mouths; and do not dance or swagger. This is because Allah has humiliated you, has shown you the punishment for your transgression and has become your enemy, so do not oppose Him if you are righteous. If you believe that the Mahdi and Messiah will emerge with a sword and a spear and will fill the earth will blood, then [know that] this delusion only arose due to your great ignorance and aber- rant imagination.
