QAŞIDAH ON THE DAYS OF ALLAH He is a camel whose back has become lean from hunger; So he chose churches in order to obtain food. They possess nothing of the secrets of divine guidance; I see none who are proficient in divine subtleties. They did not believe [in Islam] until the moon was eclipsed! The hearts of the deniers were astonished, and they were rebuked. They despaired of the Gracious God as well as the Word, In which they firmly believed, and they were chastised. Were the hearts of the enemies of guidance not aware, That the Protector humiliates anyone who goes astray? Was the eye of the All-Seeing not watching over us? Can the righteous and the sinful be equal? 439
