The Light of Truth — Page 435
QAŞIDAH ON THE DAYS OF ALLAH I observe the harm they are causing and their mischief, And my spirit is melting and my very self is being eaten away. A spring flows from the tears that stream from my eyes; My heart writhes on top of burning hot embers. From every peak and soaring mountain, And every towering height, they rushed, and the outer border was trampled. There is a great calamity on the mountaintops, So where is the valley to which you will flee from them? The winds from their summer homes have stretched out their flames; I marvel at the way they circle and their heat. Nothing remains of powerful or feeble means, Except the One who is Almighty and the Causer of Causes. 435
