SIGNS TO STRIKE FEAR INTO THE HEARTS effects upon the forces of the heavenly bodies will be brought about by the command of the Master of giving life and causing death. The world will be filled with the Oneness of God and the light of knowledge. Allah will abase the champions of Shirk, falsehood, and iniquity. The days of being drawn to Allah are coming after the days of going astray, and every soul will attain its befitting share of perfection. Whoever is worthy of the cog- nition of God's Oneness will be granted evergreen verities of the Noble Book. Whoever is eager to worship will be granted success in acts of goodness and obedience. And Allah will make the station of the Mujaddid [Reformer] the centre of the world and a refuge for God's servants and his impact will reach the farthest lands. In summary, among the peculiarities of this joining [of the two eclipses] are that creation will return to Allah, the One who is to be obeyed; the arrogant ones will meet with hardship; and the downtrodden will enjoy ease. To Allah belong manifes- tations of Jamal [Beauty] and Jalāl [Majesty]. So do not won- der, for God is transcendent! The moon appearing in front of the sun [i. e. a lunar eclipse] is an indication of the appearance of a manifestation of Jamāl; and the eclipse of the sun after it is an indication of a manifestation of Jalāl; so fear Him, if you are righteous! In this majestic and beautiful manifestation is a Sign that the Mahdi of the Latter Days and Messiah of the age will be known by every type of privation as well as dominance; he will be given the lion's share from every felicity; and by leave of the Best of Creators, he will be coloured with the tint of those of the moon and those of the sun, and the beautiful and the majestic. Thus, do not wander in the deserts of evil insinuations and know that the revulsion of Allah is greater than the revulsion 427
