QAŞĪDAH ON THE MAHDI'S ADVENT Here, it is appropriate to express gratitude, for your Helper, Has chosen you especially for His support and sympathy. O people! Come ye to your Imam obediently; And distance yourselves from the aggressor who curses. Verily, the Day of Allah has come, so hearken and fear God, And cover yourselves with the cloaks of faith. No despicable, corrupting devil should divert you, From your Lord, O gathering of youths! I have written this [ode] extemporaneously; It was produced like pearls or pure, unadulterated gold. I did not write it out of my own ability; rather, It is a pearl from my Master shaped by my fingertips. O Lord, make it a blessing for the radiant face of Muhammadsas, The finest among the noble and the elect among the distinguished! 415
