QAŞĪDAH ON THE MAHDI'S ADVENT This is from Allah, the Noble, and Benefactor; So arise from your slumber of disobedience! Whoever has fallen into the well of wretchedness, Will not be helped, but rather, will be executed like a prisoner. Do not take the barren land of corruption for a garden, Whose watering holes are sweet and whose branches are fruit-laden. Be not unjust! Do not exceed the limits! Be not audacious! Distance yourselves from that insatiable thirst! O people! Do not cast the helper of your religion as a disbeliever! Fear the true King and the Hour of the meeting. O my people! I came to you from the Lord of Creation, Glad tidings to the one who repents upon meeting me. I have been sent by the Lord of Creation and have come to you, So hasten towards His lush garden. 413
