QAŞĪDAH ON THE MAHDI'S ADVENT This is that very age whose mention you have heard; From the Best of God's Creation and the Quran. He who missed this age has indeed fallen, And chosen the valley of abandonment out of ignorance. Many an opponent casts aspersions zealously, While seeing my Signs and the light of my speech. Their notions float like a dead whale's carcass; They do not even see the places of deep concentration. The sun of heaven bore witness for them, and like it, the moon; Yet after witnessing they still doubt! They have forsaken the fear of God and abandoned its ways, Due to the whispering of Satan. O ye who label the blessed and rightly guided ones as disbelievers! On this day you have been brought to the house of abasement. 397
