QAŞĪDAH ON THE MAHDI'S ADVENT This is a hadith of the Chosen Prophet, The Refuge of Mankind, and the Chief of the Brave. The victory is manifest, and the truthfulness of my word has become clear; The ways of guidance have become known, as has my station. Does any obstinacy still linger after the revealing of the secret? Woe to the unrelenting liar and malefactor! Never has there been, nor shall there ever be, A month like this, with this characteristic, in any other era. The hand of God has borne witness; is there, then, a young man among you, Who would display love after expressing enmity for me? My Lord desired to show His Signs, And tear apart the raving mad Dajjal. I see the one who abused me like the dead; My ears no longer hear his voice. 395
