QAŞĪDAH ON THE LUNAR AND SOLAR ECLIPSES Your errors have become manifest and my truth has become clear, So fall prostrate and weep in the corners like grieving mothers. The country of India became the land of this Sign's appearance, So that the Gracious God may thereby silence the denying evildoer. Thus were the wings of the flies of doubt clipped, As a mercy upon the people who obeyed Ahmad[sas]. Separate yourself from the age of Faijin Aʻwajin,' Years which were passed in negligence and disobedience. Our Shariah was like an astonishing farmland, But [in that age] it was stripped bare, resembling a hairless creature with dusty, greying skin. The eye is weeping over its ruins; O Lord of mine! You Yourself cause it to flourish again! 345 1. Faijin A'wajin (lit. the crooked group) refers to the corrupt masses who emerged after the first righteous generations of Muslims. They were char- acterized by religious fabrications, sectarian differences, and injustice, un- til the Promised Messiahas was divinely sent to reform and reunite them. [Publisher]
