Also, About the Lunar & Solar Eclipses, To Invite the Misguided [to Truth] and Enjoin Virtue The moon has eclipsed and yet in it shines light and guidance; It is a mercy for us and it was for the Best of us [i. e. Muhammad] that this miracle was manifested. My Beloved caused the winds of divine support to blow; These northerly winds cooled the intense heat of enmity. On the night [when the moon eclipsed] the robe of the clouds was torn asunder; The lightning of the thundering clouds shook the hearts. A blessed moon came to the aid of the truthful; A judgement that disgraced the liars and threatened them.
