QAŞIDAH ON THE LUNAR AND SOLAR ECLIPSES But he opted for enmity and locked up his heart; So I cried out, 'Go die in your deep-rooted ignorance!' I have seen that the people of intellect do not deny me; But the weak-minded howl due to the pain of their impoverishment. So if you truly desire Allah, then seek His pleasure, Just as if you wish to make a sacrifice during the Hajj, you make for Mina. The one who covets the baser world preserves its treasure, Whereas the one who strives for a good end acquires wealth for the sake of Allah. The clear truth and its light has become manifest, So follow not the errors of the deviants out of ignorance. 335
