INDIA'S MUSLIM CONVERTS TO CHRISTIANITY from them and the winds of faith fell still, until the age became dark, like a pitch-black night whose sky was laden with storm clouds. They forsook the long-established way of goodness and invited [mankind] to torment and destruction. Dishonesty became their practice and spreading immorality their way. Blaspheming holy personages became their forte, and the money they received as charity became their personal [savings] jar. They were equally unconcerned about minor sins and major ones. They feared neither impudence nor wrongdoing. They corrupted the hearts of people by various kinds of evil suggestions, and they levied allegations against the Messengers of the Gracious God. Their nature is to move from hunting one target to another, and to go from one machination to another. At times they tempted them with women, and at other times with silver and gold, and on occasion with their excess supply of water, and at other times their trees and fruits. The ignorant were thus caught in their web, and the godless fell into their pit-and they set off to hunt in all directions. Behold the Christianized and their vice; And see what has emerged from their filth. They hasten from every direction prepared to fight, And defile the earth with their idols. 195
