A QAŞIDAH ON GOOD VERSUS EVIL 185 Verily I am from Allah, the Mighty, the Greatest; This is the truth! Is there, then, anyone who fears [God] and reflects? The light rain of divine guidance has arrived; After which a deluge like a massive army shall pour forth. It was decreed that India should receive this divine guidance, as a mighty help, For it had become the place where Christianity was spreading. There are groups in this land that insult our Prophet; There are crops of misguidance here that have been favoured. They are a people who oppose the righteous out of malice, And lend their support to matters opposed to purity. Many a time, like antelopes, they ran and hid from me, When, like a lion, I charged towards them in battle.
