MENTION OF CERTAIN OBJECTIONS RAISED BY THE SLANDERER AND THEIR REBUTTAL Among his objections [to my claims] was his assertion that the priests of this era are not Dajjal [the Antichrist], after which he incited the British government to harm me, alleging that I believe this government to be the prophesied Dajjal and that I am a traitor. As for my response, know that I do not label the British government as the prophesied Dajjal. In fact, I realize and know for certain that this government is wise, enquiring, and carefully considers the facts of the matter. Allah has provided it with a share of knowledge, wisdom, philosophy, and many types of crafts. It has been adorned with the shimmering glow of intelligence. Thus, it recognizes nonsense and pries open the seal of secrets that underpin forgeries. It is not among those who accept senseless jabbering. So how then could this government possibly believe these tall tales; in reality, it con- siders them to be tall tales or a fantasy consisting of idle sto- ries. Apart from this, this government has no interest what- soever in matters of religion. Love of the world and a desire to rule has captivated its heart. Thus, at every step it is fully immersed from head to toe in the material world. It is not inclined towards any particular religion, but if it does, it will incline towards Islam. It will accept only this religion and the creed of Khātamun-Nabiyyīn [the Seal of the Prophets].
