How can we think that Jesus is God when we have never read a philosophy wherein it is proven that a man who used to eat and drink; pass water and have bowel movements; who used to sleep and become ill; who did not have knowledge of the unseen; was powerless to defend himself against his enemies; who himself, at a time of adversity, bowed down and begged God in prayer throughout the night and yet his prayer was not answered, because God chose not to align His own Will with that of the supplicant; who Satan led to a mountain and so he followed him, and was unable to part from Satan; and who died while saying, 'My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?' Yet in spite of all this, he is a god and the son of God? Holy is Allah! This is nothing more than a clear invention of lies. I have seen Jesus, may peace be on him, many times in my dreams and many times in visions. He has eaten with me at the same table. On one occasion when I saw him, I asked him about the error that his people had fallen into. He became extremely startled and recalled the greatness of Allah and immediately began praising Him and glorifying Him. He then pointed to the earth and said, 'I am only of the earth and I am innocent of what they allege. ' I found him to be a modest and humble person. On another occasion, I saw him standing in my doorway holding a piece of paper in his hand, which resembled a sheet of paper. It was put into my heart that the paper contained the names of people who love Allah and are loved by Him, and it also mentioned the ranks of their nearness to Allah the Exalted.
