وقع وقی وَقَارٌ : Gravity; dignity; calmness; staidness; steadiness; greatness. مَالَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُوْنَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا : What is the matter with you that you hope not for greatness from Allah )71:14( وَقَرَ الرَّجُلُ : The man was or became grave, steady, wise, dignified, patient. وَقَرَتِ النَّخْلَةُ : The palm-tree became laden or heavily laden with fruit. أَوْقَرَهُ الدَّيْنُ : The debt burdened him heavily. وفرٌ : A load a heavy load; a weight that is carried upon the back or head; cloud laden with water. وَقْرٌ : Heaviness in the ear; dullness of hearing; entire loss of hearing. وَقَعَ ]aor. يَقَعُ inf. noun وَقَعَ الشَّيْءُ عَنْ يَدِهِ [ وُقُوْعًا : The thing fell from his hand. وَقَعَ الْحَقُّ : The truth was established. وَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ : The sentence became due against them. وَقَعَ الطَّيْرُ عَلَى الشَّجَرِ : The bird descended upon the tree. وَقَعَ فِى الشَّرْكِ : He fell in idolatry . وَقَعَ لَهُ واقع : An event betook him; happened to him. أَوْقَعَ بِالْعَدُرِّ : He fought with the enemy with the utmost severity. أوقع : He caused. وَلَمَّا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّجْزُ : But when there fell upon them the punishment )7:135( فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ : So the truth was established When the sentence is passed against : إِذَا وَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ (7:119) them, becomes due against them )27:83( يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ : Withholds the rain (or sky) from falling upon the earth )22:66( فَقَعُوْا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ : Then fall ye down in submission to him )3873( واقع : Act. part. إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِع : The punishment of thy Lord is come to pass or sure to fall )528( وَاقِعَةٌ is pass. part. : إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ Coming to pass : وَقَعَتْ . (feminine) 28 When the event takes place or comes to pass, there is no denying its coming to pass )56:23( أَنْ يُوْقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَوَاةَ : That he should cause enmity between you )5:2( مَوْقِعُ : A place or time, where and when a thing happens. مَوَاقِعُ : Plural. فَلا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوْقِعِ النُّجُوْمِ مَوَاقِع : I swear by the time of the shooting of the stars (56:76). : Act. part. (plural) from أَنَّهُمْ مُّوَاقِعُوْهَا . وَاقَعَ : They are going to fall therein (18:54). وَقَى ]aor. يَقِى inf. noun وَقَى فُلانًا وَقَايَةً : He protected him or shielded against evil and hid him from trouble, guarded, preserved such a one. وَقَى الْأَمْرَ : He reformed or connected the affair, or set it 833
