ذل ذُلِلَ الْكَرَمُ : The bunches of the grape-vine were made to hang down so that they might be easily plucked. وَذُلِّدَتْ قُطُرْفُهَا : Its clustered fruits will be brought within easy reach )76:15( وَذَلِّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ : And We have subjected the same to them )36:73( اذلّه : He (God) humbled, abased or rendered low or contemptible and weak . تُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ : Thou abasest whom Thou pleasest )3:27( ذُلُّ or ذِلَّةٌ : Lowness; paltriness; abasement, disgrace, and weakness; easiness, tractableness; submissiveness and weakness; also gentleness and mercy . وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلّ : Nor has anyone to help Him on account of weakness or lowness of state or condition )17:112( خَاشِعِيْنَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ : Casting down their eyes on account of disgrace or abasement (42:46) is also syn. with وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ . ذِلُّ : And make soft to them the side of 22 ک 2 gentleness i. e. treat them with gentleness or lower to them the wing of humility i. e. be humble and submissive to them (17:25). According to Imam Raghib الذُّلُّ is a consequence of subjection and اَلدِّلُّ is what is after refractoriness. So the meaning of the verse would be: (1). be gentle unto them like him who is subjected to them and (2). be submissive, gentle or tractable to them. ذل : Also means the beaten track. أُمُوْرُ اللَّهِ جَارِيَةٌ عَلَى أَذْلَالِهَا : The decrees of God take their appointed course. ذلّة : Lowness, baseness, abjectness, abasement, disgrace, humiliation and weakness ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ : And they were smitten with abasement )262( اَذِلُّاَءُ and اَذِلَّةٌ : )singular ذَلِيْلٌ ( : Low base, abject, vile, mean, paltry, contemptible and weak gentle. وَأَنْتُمْ اَذِلَّةٌ : And you were humble and weak and merciful. )3:14( إِذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ : They are gentle and merciful to the believers or kind and humble (5:55). طَرِيْقُ ذَلِيْلٌ : A smooth or even road. ذَلُوْلٌ : Easy, tractable, submissive or manageable applied to a beast. لا ذَلُوْلٌ تُثِيْرُ الْأَرْضَ : It is a cow not broken in to plough or unyoked )2: 72( ذَلُوْلٌ : Applied to land or ground means easy to be travelled or to ride upon made easy, even or smooth. جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ ذَلُوْلاً : He (God) made the earth inclined (on its axis) for you )67:16( ذُلَلٌ )plural( فَاسْلُكِيْ سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلاً : And follow the ways of thy Lord which have been made easy for thee )16:70( اَذَلُّ : More or most mean. لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الْاَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْآذَلُّ : The most honourable will 28 295 ذكا
