دمع دمر weep, abounding with tears. عَيْنٌ دَمُوعٌ : An eye quick to shed tears or عَيْنٌ دَمَّاعَةٌ : Aneye that sheds many tears. دَمَعَ ]aor. يَدْمَعُ and يَدْمُعُ inf. noun دَمَغَهُ [دَمْغٌ : He broke his head so that the wound reached the دِماغ )ie. (brain); he broke the bone of the brain. دَمَغَتْهُ الشَّمْسُ : The sun caused pain to his brain. دَمَغَهُ: He overcame him or subdued or abased him or it. دَمَعَ الْحَقُّ الْبَاطِلَ : The truth rebutted or overcame and prevailed over it and abolished the falsehood. يَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ : So that it may overcome or prevail over it and abolish it; or so that it may do away with it in such a manner as to render it despicable (21:19). 28 دَمِىَ aor. يَدْمَى inf. noun دَمَّى or دَمَى الْجُرْحُ دَمًا : The wound bled; blood issued fromit. دَمٌ and دِمَاءٌ : Blood رَجُلٌ ذُوْ دَمٍ : Aman seeking to obtain the revenge of blood. دَمَ فُلانٍ فِي ثَوْبِ فُلان is an Arab proverb meaning, such a one is the slayer of such a one. حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ : Forbidden to you is carrion and blood )5:4( وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ : And he will shed blood (2:31). 28 It (a man's face) glistered like a dinar. دُنْرَ : He had many dinars. دِيْنَارٌ : A certain gold coin. إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَارٍ : If thou trusthimwithadinar)3:76(. ]aor. يَدْنُو inf. noun دُنُوا and دَنَاوَةً [ : He or it was or became near or approached. دَنَوْتُ مِنْهُ or دَنَوْتُ لَهُ or دَنَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ or دَنَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ : I was and became near to him or it. دَنَا مِنْهُ )inf. noun ) : He was related to him دَنَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِلْغُرُوْبِ : The sun was or became near to setting. دَنَا = دَنِ: He was or became weak, contemptible low, ignoble; bad or foul; not profitable to anyone . ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَى : Then he drew nearer to God, then he came down )539( اَدْنَاهُ : He made him or it to be or become near or he brought himnear. أَدْنَتْ ثَوْبَهَا عَلَيْهَا : She let down her garment upon her and covered or veiled herself with it. يُدْنِيْنَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلابِیْبِهِنَّ : Should let down or draw close to them a portion of their outer wrapping-garments )33:60( اَدْنَتْ : )said of camel) She was or became near to bringing forth. اذنى : He lived a strait life after easiness and plenty دان act. part. ): Being or becoming near; drawing near or approaching; he or it that becomes near or approaches or draws near. 275 دَنَّرَ دَنَا
