دلا 3 دم conciliate with it the judges and do not seek to gain access to the judges thereby )2:189( 1) : دَلْمٌ( A bucket a certain vessel with which one draws water from the well. فَاَدْلَى دَلْوَهُ : So he sent down his bucket (12:20); (2) a certain mark made with a hot iron upon camels; (3) calamity, misfortune or mischief جَاءَ فُلانٌ بِدَلْوِ : Such a one brought calamity . تَدَى : It was let down or lowered. تَدَلَّى بِالشَّرّ : He descended upon one with evil; تَدَى : He drew near or approached; he was or became lowly, humble or submissive; or he lowered, humbled or abased himself. ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى : He drew nearer to God then he came دَم down (53:9). ]aor. يَدُم inf. noun دَمَّ الْأَرْضَ [دَمٌ : He made the ground or earth even. دم رَأْسَهُ : He broke his head. دَمَّهُمْ or دَمْدَمَهُمْ or دَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ : He (God(. crushed them and destroyed them completely or inflicted a full and complete punishment upon them or made the earth to quake with them or was angry with )91:15( دَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِ : He spoke to himin anger. دَمَّ قُلَانًا : he punished him completely or fully . دَمَمْتُ عَلَى الشَّيْءِ : I covered over the thing; I buried the thing making the ground even overit. وو لک دَمَرَ ]aor . يَدْمُرُ inf. noun دَمَارٌ and دُمُورٌ and دَمَارَةٌ[ : He perished or perished utterly. دَمَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ )inf. noun دُمُورٌ( : He came in to them without permission or intruded upon them or intruded upon them in an evil manner or with an evil intention. دَمَّرَهُمْ and دَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِمْ )inf. noun تَدْمِيرٌ( : He (God) destroyed or destroyed them completely. دَمَّرَ السَّيْلُ الْمَكَانَ : The torrent destroyed the place. ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِيْنَ : Then We destroyed the others )26:173( فَدَمَّرْنَهُمْ تَدْمِيْرًا : Then We destroyed them a complete destruction )25:37( دَمَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ : Allah utterly destroyed them )47:11( تَدْمِيرٌ : Destruction, complete destruction. دَمَعْ ]aor . يَدْمَعُ inf. noun دَمْعٌ and دُمُوعٌ [ and دَمِعَ ]aor. يَدْمَعُ inf. noun دَمْعُ دَمِعَتِ الْعَيْنُ or دَمَعَتْ : The eye shed tears دَمَعَ الْجُرْحُ : The wound flowed with blood. دَمِعَ الْإِناءُ The vessel became full till it overflowed. : دَمْعُ Tears; the water of the eye, whether from joy or grief. : دَمْعَةٌ A single drop thereof i. e a tear ) دُمُوعٌ plural( . وَأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيْضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ : And their eyes overflowing with tears )9:92( اِمْرَأَةٌ دَمِعَةٌ : A woman quick to 274
