جنب disquieted. جَنِبَ aor. يَجْنَبُ( He camel, limped by reason of pain in his side. جُنِبَ and جَنِبَ and جَنْبَ and جَنَبَ : He became affected by ذَاتَ الْجَنْبِ i. e. pleurisy . جَنَبَ الرَّجُلُ )aor. يَجْنُبُ inf. noun جَنَابَةٌ( : The man became polluted. جُنّبٌ is an epithet from جَنَابَةٌ meaning polluted i. e. having had to take bath after sexual intercourse. إِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوْا : If you are in a state of pollution or uncleanliness, so purify yourself by bathing )5:7( جَنَّبَهُ أَوْ تَجَنَّبَهُ أَوْ تَجَانَبَهُ أَوْ اجْتَنَبَهُ : He was or became distant, remote far off or aloof from him or it; he retired or withdrew himself to a distance; he estranged or alienated himself; from him or it. جَانَبَهُ : He walked by his side or he was or became distant from him. وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى : But the righteous shall be kept away from it )92:18( وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْاَشْقَى : But the reprobate will keep away or turn aside from it )87:12( إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ : If you keep away from more grievous sins )4:32( جُنُبٌ : A stranger; a man who is remote or distant in respect of relationship; a person who is not a relative; a person who is one's neighbour but who belongs to another people; one is not one's lineage; a person who is not a relation to another and who comes to him and asks his protection; distance or remoteness. : The neighbour who is a stranger or who is not related )4:37( جَنَبٌ also means under obligation of performing total ablution. It is used as singular and plural and masculine and feminine. فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِ عَنْ جُنُبٍ : So she observed him from afar )28:12( 1) : جَنْبٌ( The side or half or lateral half of a man; or the part of a man that is beneath the arm-pit, extending to the flank. قَعَدْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ فُلان أَوْ إِلَى جَانِبِهِ : I sat by the side of such a one )أَعْطَاهُ الْجَنْبَ جَانِبُ فُلان : He gave him the side, meaning he was submissive to him )2( الصَّاحِبُ بِالْجَنْبِ : The companion by your side (4:37); the companion in a journey; the companion by one's side; (3) the companion in every good affair. اَلصَّاحِبُ بِالْجَنْبِ also means, (4) the husband or the wife. ذَاتُ الْجَنْبِ : Pleurisy. جَنَبٌ also means: (5) Part or portion or tract; a part or portion of a thing; the greater or main or chief part of a thing; هَذَا قَلِيْلٌ فِي جَنْبِ مُوَدَّتِكَ : This is little in comparison with the magnitude of the love or simply in وَالْجَارِ الْجُنُبِ 147 * جنب
