(When used as مضاف the is omitted. تارِكْ : And that thou perhaps art going to abandon )11:13(. 28 تَسَعَ ]aor. يَشْسِعُ and يَشْسَعُ inf. noun تَسَعَهُمْ تَسَعٌ : He became the ninth of them. تِسْعَةٌ )fem. is تِسْع : Applied to denote a number (nine(. تِسْعَةُ رِجَالٍ : Nine men. تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ : Nine women. تِسْعُونَ : Ninety. عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ : Over it are nineteen )74:31( تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُوْنَ نَعْجَةً : Ninety nine ewes (38:24). تَعَسَ ]aor يَنْعَسُ inf. noun تَعْسٌ and تَعِسَ aor. يَسْعَسُ [ : He stumbled and fell upon his face; he missed his proof in litigation and the object of his search in seeking; he perished; he became far removed; he became degraded. تَعْسًا لَّهُ : May he fall never to rise; may he perish; may ruin cleave to him; may he be degraded. تَعْسًا لَّهُمْ : Ruin is for them )47:9( تَعَسَهُ اللهُ : God destroyed him; degraded him; made him to fall on his face. تَعْسٌ : Ruin degradation; mischief; evil. تَفَتْ aor. يَشْفَتُ inf. noun تَفَتْ[ : He abstained from shaving his pubes etc. and in consequence became dirty. تَفَتُ : Dirtiness; one of the rites of the pilgrimage; it signifies shaving of the hair of head, clipping the moustache, paring the nails and shaving the pubes etc. قَضَى تَفَثَهُ : He removed his dirtiness; he did the needful acts of cleansing (in pilgrimage(. ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوْا تَفَثَهُمْ : Then let them accomplish their needful acts of cleansing (22:30). تَقْنُوْا تَقْنَ : They watered their land that it might become good. أَتْقَسَهُ )inf. noun اِنْقَانُ( : He made it or rendered it firm, stable, strong, solid, sound, free from defect; he settled or created or constructed it firmly, solidly; he put on a solid, sound or firm footing. أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ : He (God) created everything perfectly تَلَّ G (27:89). روش ]aor. يَتُلُّ inf. noun تَلَّهُ تَلٌّ : He threw him down; he threw him down on his neck, cheek or forehead تَلَّ النَّاقَةَ : He made the she-camel to lie down upon his breast; he threw it upon the ground. تَلَّ الْحَبْلَ فِي الْبِئْرِ : He lowered the rope into the well. تلّ 105
