BARĀHIN-E-AHMADIYYA کوئے او باشدش ز بستاں پا روئے او باشدش ز ریحان به He finds his threshold as more blissful than an orchard, And his face more comely than the basil flower. هر چه دلبر بدو کند آں به دیدن دلبرش از صد جاں به He is well pleased with howsoever the beloved treats him; To look upon his beloved is better than to live a hundred lives. زنجیر پیش دلداری به به ز ہجراں و سیر گلزاری To be in the presence of his beloved, even if bound in chains, Is more precious to him than strolling in a delightful garden without him. جز بوصلش نیابد آرامی He who has a beloved, Finds no peace without him. ہر که دارد یکی دلآرام شب به بستر تپد از فرقت یار ہمہ عالم بخواب و او بیدار In his absence he tosses and turns all night, While the world is lost in sleep, he remains awake. تا نه بیند صبوری اش ناید ہر دمش سیل عشق بر باید He finds not a moment's rest without seeing him; Every moment, he is carried away by the torrent of love. در دل عاشقان قرار کجا تو به کردن ز روئے یار کجا How indeed should a lover find peace, And how could he ever think of separation from the beloved! 148
