نبیوں میں سب سے بزرگ اور کامیاب نبی 650 اسوہ انسان کامل himself۔Often and often was he seen in the market purchasing provisions; Often and often was he seen mending his clothes in his room, or milking a goat in his courtyard۔He was accessible to all and at all times۔He visited the sick and was full of sympathy for all۔unlimited was his benevolence and generosity, as also was his anxious care for the welfare of the community۔Despite innumerable presents which from all quarters unceasingly poured in for him, he left very little behind, and even that he regarded as state property۔"(23) ترجمہ محمد نے اپنے لوگوں کے لئے ایک روشن نمونہ قائم کیا آپ کے اخلاق پاک اور بے عیب ہیں۔آپ کا گھر ، آپ کا لباس اور آپ کی خوراک سادگی کا بے نظیر نمونہ تھی۔سادگی اور بے تکلفی کا یہ عالم تھا کہ کبھی صحابہ سے اپنے لئے خصوصی عزت و توقیر کا تقاضا نہ کرتے اور نہ ہی اپنے غلام سے وہ کام لیتے جو آپ اپنے ہاتھ سے کر سکتے۔اکثر و بیشتر آپ بازار میں بذات خود سودا سلف خریدتے ہوئے دکھائی دیتے۔اسی طرح اپنے کمرہ میں کپڑوں کی مرمت کرتے ہوئے یا صحن میں دودھ دوہتے ہوئے نظر آتے۔آپ کے دروازے ہر کس و ناکس کے لئے ہر وقت کھلے رہتے۔آپ بیماروں کی تیمار داری کرتے اور اُن سے ہمدردی کا اظہار کرتے آپ کی شفقت اور فیاضی بے پناہ تھی۔معاشرہ کی فلاح و بہبود کا فکر بھی ہر وقت آپ کو دامنگیر رہتا۔باوجود بے شمار تحائف کے جو آپ کو مختلف اطراف سے مسلسل پیش ہوتے رہتے تھے آپ گھر میں بہت کم رکھتے۔کیونکہ ان کو بھی آپ عوام کا ہی حصہ سمجھتے تھے۔“ (27) 19۔ایڈورڈ گبن (1737ء) دنیا کے عظیم ترین مؤرخ لکھتے ہیں:۔"The genius of the Arabian prophet, the manners of his nation, and the spirit of his religion, involve the causes of the decline and fall of the Eastern empire; and our eyes are curiously intent on one of the most memorable revolutions which have impressed a new and lasting character on the nations of the globe۔His memory was capacious and retentive; his wit easy and social; his imagination sublime; his judgment clear, rapid, and decisive۔He possessed the courage both of thought and action;۔۔۔The creed of Mohammed is
