PRAYERS 54 Yourself bestow Mercy upon me. Surely You are the Greatest Giver. Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin ‘Abb a s ra narrates that when the Holy Prophet sa used to stand for Tahajjud prayer he used to say: َْ ْ اﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻟَک َ احل ﻤ ۡ َۡ ﺪ ُ اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َ ﻗَﻴِّﻢ ُ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَات ِ وَاﻻ ْ ر ْض ِ وَﻣَﻦ َ ﻓِﻴ َْ ﻬِﻦ َّ وَﻟَک ْ احل ُ ﻤ ْ ﺪ َۡ ﻟَک َ ﻣُﻠ ْ ک ُ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَات ِ وَاﻻ ْ ر ْض ِ وَﻣَﻦ َْ ﻓِﻴ ْ ﻬِﻦ َّ وَﻟَک َ احل ْ ﻤ َ ﺪ ُ اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َۡ ﻧُﻮ ْ ر ُ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَاتِ وَاﻻ ْ ر ْضِ وَﻣَﻦ َْ ﻓِﻴ ْ ﻬِﻦَّ وَﻟَکَ احل ْ ﻤ ِ ﺪُ اَﻧ ْ ﺖَ ﻣَﻠِکُ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَات ْ وَاﻻَْر ْض ِ وَﻣَﻦ َّ ﻓِﻴ َْﻬِﻦ ْ وَﻟَک َ احل ْ ﻤ َْ ﺪ ُ اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َ احل 2َﻖ ُّ وَو َْ ِ ﺪُک َ احل َ ﻖ ُّ وَﻟ َّ ﻘَﺎﺋُک ْ ﺣَﻖٌّ و َّ ﻗَﻮ َْ ﻟُکَ ﺣَﻖٌّ و ٌّ اجل َّﻨَّﺔُ ﺣَﻖ َّ و ْ اﻟﻨَّﺎر ُ ﺣَﻖٌّ و ٌ اﻟﻨَّ;ِﻴُّﻮ نَ ﺣَﻖٌ وَحمَُﻤَّﺪ ْ ْ ﺣَﻖ ٌّ وَاﻟﺴَّﺎﻋَﺔ ُ ﺣَﻖ ٌّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻟَک َ اَﺳ ْ ﻠَﻤ ْ ﺖ ُ وَﺑِک َ اٰﻣَﻨ ْ ﺖ ُ و2ََﻠَﻴ َّﻠLَک َ ﺗَﻮ ُ ْ ﺖ ْ وَاِﻟَﻴ ْ ک َ اَﻧَﺒ ْ ﺖ ُ وَﺑِک َ ﺧَﺎﺻَﻤ ْ ﺖ ُ وَاِﻟَﻴ ْ ک َ ﺣَﺎکَﻤ ْ ﺖ ُ ﻓَﺎﻏ ْ ﻔِﺮ ُ ىل ِ ﻣَﺎﻗَﺪَّﻣ ْ ﺖ ْ وَﻣَﺎاَﺧَّﺮ ْ تُ وَﻣَﺎاَﺳ ْ ﺮَر ْ تُ وَﻣَﺎ ا2َ ْ ﻠَﻨ ُْ ﺖُ اَﻧ ْ ﺖَ امل ُْ ﻘَﺪِّمُ وَاَﻧ َ ﺖَ امل َ ﺆ ªٰﺧِّﺮُ ﻻ َ اِﻟ ْ َ اِﻻَّ اَﻧ ﺖ. 81 O All a h , all praise belongs to You. You are the Sustainer of heaven and earth and whatever is in them. All praise belongs to You. Yours is the Sovereignty of the heavens and earth and whatever is in them. All praise belongs to You, You are the light of heaven and earth and whatever is in them. All Praise belongs to You, You are the Sovereign of the heavens and earth and whatever is in them. All praise belongs to You. You are the Truth, Your promise is true, returning to You is true and Your word is true. Heaven and Hell are true. All the Prophets are true and Muhammad sa is the rightly guided one and the day of Judgement is true. O All a h , I have taken on Your obedience, trust in You, believe in You, and incline towards You. With Your help I pit myself against the enemy. I have come to You for judgement in my case, so
