PRAYERS 52 Prosper, O All a h , Muhammad and his people as You prospered Abraham and his people. You are indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted. Prayer for the Best in this World and Hereafter Hadrat Anas ra , an attendant of the Holy Prophet sa , was asked about the most repeated prayer of his master. He narrated this prayer which is recited after Tashahhud. َّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّرَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ْٰاٰﺗِﻨَﺎ ىف ِ اﻟﺪُّﻧﻴَﺎ ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔ ً و َّ ىف ِ اﻻ َ ﺧِﺮَة ِ ﺣَﺴَﻨَﺔ ً و ﻗِﻨَﺎ 2َﺬَاب اﻟﻨَّﺎر. 77 O All a h ,our Lord grant us the best of this world as well as the best of the life Hereafter and shield us from the torment of the Fire. Prayer for Safety from Punishment of the Grave and other Trials As per the narration of Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra and Hadrat Ab u Hurairah ra , during s al a t , after Tashahhud , the Holy Prophet sa used to say this prayer: ْ َ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ِّ اَﻋُﻮ ْ ذُﺑِک ْﻣِﻦ ِْ 2َﺬَاب ِ اﻟ ْﻘَرب ْ وَاَﻋُﻮ ْذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ Zِﻓ َْ ْ ﻨَﺔ ِ امل ِ ﺴِﻴ ْ ﺢ ْ اﻟﺪَّﺟَّﺎل ِ وَاَﻋُﻮ َْذُﺑِک َ ﻣِﻦ ْ ﻓZِﻨَﺔ ِ امل َْ ﺤ ْ ﻴَﺎ وَامل َ ﻤَﺎتِ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ِّ اَﻋُﻮ َ ذ ُ ﺑِک َْﻣِﻦ امل ۡ َْ ﺎ ْ ﺛَﻢِ وَامل ِ ﻐ ﺮَم O All a h , I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. I seek refuge in You from the mischief of the Dajj a l(Anti-Christ). I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death. O All a h , I seek refuge in You from sins and burden of debt. Another Comprehensive Prayer Hadrat ‘Abdull a h bin Mas‘ u d ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa taught him this prayer for recitation after Tashahhud :
