PRAYERS 51 "Peace be upon All a h ". The Holy Prophet sa said, "God is Peace Himself, meaning that He is the fountain of all peace. When in Qa‘dah you should say this": َ اَﻟﺘَّﺤِﻴَّﺎت ُ ﻟِﻠªّٰ ِ وَاﻟﺼَّﻠَﻮَات ُ وَاﻟﻄَّ[ِّﺒَﺎت ُ اَﻟﺴَّﻼَم ُ 2َﻠَﻴک َ اَﻳُّﻬَﺎ اﻟَّىب ُِّ وَر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺔ ٗ َاﷲِ وَﺑَﺮLََﺎﺗªُ ۡ اَﻟﺴَّﻼَمُ 2َﻠَ[ﻨ ﻋِﺒَﺎدِ اﷲِ اﻟﺼَّﺎحلِِني َ اَﺷﻬَﺪ ُ اَن _َ2 َو َّﺎ َّ ﻻ اِﻟªَٰ اِﻻ ﻋَﺒﺪُہ ٗٗاﷲُ وَ اَﺷﻬَﺪُ اَنَّ حمَُﻤَّﺪًا وَ رَﺳُﻮﻟªُ. 75 All homage belongs to All a h , all worship and pure attributes are His alone. Peace be upon You O Prophet of God and mercy of All a h and His blessings. Peace be upon us and the pious servants of All a h. I bear witness that there is no god except All a h and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. Dur u d Shar i f Hadrat ‘Abdur-Ra h m a n bin Ab i Lail a ra met Hadrat Ka‘b bin ‘Ujrah ra who said, "Should I not give you a gift?" In response to his request, he told him this tradition of the Holy Prophet sa that we know the manner of offering peace upon the Prophet of God in the words: ْ َ اَﻟﺴَّﻼَم ُ 2َﻠَﻴ ک َ اَﻳُّﻬَﺎ اﻟَّىب ُِّ وَر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺔ ٗ اﷲ ِ و َ ﺑَﺮLََﺎﺗªُ peace be on you O Messenger of God and God's Mercy and Blessings. What is the manner of offering Dur u d upon him according to the Qur’ a nic injunction of ْ ْ ﺻَﻠُّﻮا 2َﻠَﻴª ِ وَﺳَﻠِّﻤُﻮ ا ﺗَﺴ ﻠِﻴﻤًﺎ (Al-A h z a b 33: 57). He instructed him to say Dur u d in these words: َّ ّ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﺻَﻞ ِّ 2َ_ ٰ حمَُﻤَّﺪ ٍ و _َ2ٰ ْ ا ْ ل ِ حمَُﻤَّﺪ ٍ کَﻤَﺎ ﺻَﻠَّﻴ ﺖ َ 2َ_ ٰ اِﺑ ْ ٰ ﺮَاﻫِﻴ _َ2َﻢ َ و ٰ ِ ا ْ ل ْ اِﺑ َ ﺮَاﻫِﻴ ﻢَ اِﻧَّک ْ َِﻴ ٌ ﺪ ْ ْ جمَِّﻴ ٰﺪٌ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢَّ ﺑَﺎرِک _َ2 ٰ _َ2َّٰحمَُﻤَّﺪ ٍ و ا ْ ل ِ حمَُﻤَّﺪٍ کَﻤَﺎ ٰ ﺑَﺎرَک _َ2 َْﺖ ْ اِﺑ ٰ ﺮَاﻫِﻴ _َ2َٰﻢَ و ْ ا ْ لِ اِﺑ َ ﺮَاﻫِﻴ ﻢَ اِﻧَّک ْ َِﻴ ٌ ﺪ ْ ٌ جمَِّﻴ ﺪ Bless, O All a h , Muhammad and his people as You blessed Abraham and his people. You are indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.
