knowledge of the real nature of His hallowed essence or the eyes cannot reach Him (6:104). u ø j # o ]ô  ø ] ]ø  »  ø Ò ø ä ö ] Ö» Ç ø  ø Ñ ö : When the calamity of drowning overtook him (10:91).  ø  $ Õ ø ] Ö» Û ø _ ø  ö : The rain dropped with close consecutiveness. iø  ø ]  ø Õ ø ] Ö» Ï ø ç » Ý ö (as also ]ô  $ ]  ø Õ ø and ]ô  $  ø Õ ø ) : The people attained, reached, overtook or came up with one another or the last of them attained, reached; overtook or came up with the first of them. iø  ø ]  ø Ò ø k ô ] » ø ì » fø ^  ö : The news followed one another closely. Hence iø  ø ]  ø Õ ø signifies: It continues and was carried on uninterruptedly. Hence when said of knowledge, ]ô  $ ]  ø Õ ø or iø  ø ]  ø Õ ø means, it continued unbroken in its sequence. Öø ç » ø ]ø á » iø  ø  ø ] Ò ø ä ü Þô Ã » Û ø è º Ú ôù à »  $ eôù ä´ : Had not a favour from his Lord reached him (68:50). u ø j # o ]ô  ø ] ]  $ ]  ø Ò ö ç » ] Ê ô n» ã ø ^ : Until when they have all successively arrived therein, all together; or when the last of them had reached, overtaken or came up with the first of them (7:39). eø Ø ô ]  $ ]  ø Õ ø Â ô ×» Û ö ã ö Ü » Ê ô o ] » F ì ô  ø é ô : Variously means, nay their knowledge with respect to the Hereafter has reached its maturity or has become perfect; nay their knowledge respecting the Hereafter has reached its end i. e. has come to its end; or their knowledge has erred or disappeared; or but doth their knowledge reach to the Hereafter; or nay their knowledge reaches not the Hereafter (27:67).  ø  ø Õ º : The act of attaining, reaching or overtaking. Ö ^ iø í ø ^ Í ö  ø  ø Ò ÷ ^ : Thou shalt not fear Pharoah, overtaking you (20:78) or being overtaken by him; the attainment or acquisition of an object of want and seeking the attainment thereof and  ø  » Õ º signifies the same, a consequence, generally meaning an evil consequence as also  ø  » Õ º ; a doubled rope that is tied to the cross pieces of wood of the bucket and then to the main Well-rope and  ø  » Õ º signifies the same.  ø  » Õ º and also  ø  ø Õ º : The bottom or lowest depth of a thing (plural ]ø  »  ø ] Õ º and  ø  ø Ò ø ^ l º ); a stage of Hell or stage or stages downwards opposed to  ø  ø t º and  ø  ø q ø ^ l º which are upwards. ]ô á $ ] Ö» Û ö ßø ^ Ê ô Ï ô n» à ø Ê ô o ] Ö  $  » Õ ô ] » ø  » Ë ø Ø ô : Verily the hypocrites shall be in the lowest stage or depth of the Fire of Hell (4:146). Ú ö  »  ø Õ º (plural Ú ö  »  ø Ò ö ç » á ø ), (pass. part. ) : Perceived by means of any of the sense; one overtaken. ]ô Þ $ ^ Öø Û ö  »  ø Ò ö ç » á ø : We are surely overtaken (26:62).
