(American Edition) 59 “He will plan the Divine Ordinance from the heaven unto the earth, then shall it go up to Him in a day the duration of which is a thousand years according to what you reckon. ” (32[Al-Sajdah]:6) The following Ḥadīth explains the above verse. ْبِق ُ شَھَا ْ ُثَُّ َیَِی ْ ء ُ اَقْوَام ٌ تَس ْ ُثَُّ ا َّلَِّیْن َ یَلُوْنَھُم ِْنِْ ُثَُّ ا َّلَِّیْن َ یَلُوْنَھُم َْیَْ النَّاس ِ قَر َ خ ُ د ٗ ۃ اَحَدِھِم ْ یَمِيْنَہ “The people of my generation are the best, then those who follow them, and then those who follow the latter; after that there will come some people whose witness will go ahead of their oaths. ” (Bukhārī, Kitābush - Shahadāt) This Ḥadīth and the Qur’ān ic verse indicate that falsehood was to spread after the first three centuries of Isl ām and before the advent of the Imām Mahdī. (8) ِ ی و َ دِیۡن ِالۡحَق ی ّل َِی ۡۤاَرۡسَل َرَسُوۡل َٗبِالۡہُد ۡ ہُو َ ا ُِل ِٖ وَلَو َل ِیۡن ِ ک َٰۤلَ ا َلِیُظۡہِرَہ ٗع کَرِہ ﴿﴾ ٪ َ الۡمُشۡرِکُوۡن “He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religions, even if those who associate partners with God hate it. ” (61[Al- Ṣ aff]:10) The following verse explains the above verse. ِْسہ ھہذَا عِنْد َ نُزُوْل ِ عِی Note: This prophecy will be fulfilled through the advent of the Promised Messiah. (Ibn Jarīr, Vol. 15) (9) ی ٍ و َ لَقَد ۡ ج َٓاءَکُم ۡ یُوۡسُف ُ مِن ۡ قَبۡل ُ بِالۡبَیِن ۡ ِفِۡشَک ت ِ فَمَازِلۡتُم َِت ی ح ؕ ٖ مِمَا ج َٓاءَکُم ۡ بِہ ۡ ُمِن بَعۡدِہ ٖرَسُو ّلل ی اِذَا ہَلَک َ قُلۡتُم ۡ لَن ۡ یَبۡعَث َ ا َ ُ مَن ۡ ہُو ّلل ی لِک َ یُضِل ُ ا ی ۡلً ؕ کَذ ٌ مُسۡرِف ۖۚ مُرۡتَاب ُ﴿ ﴾ “And Joseph did come to you before with clear proofs, but you ceased not to be in doubt concerning that with which he came to you till, when he died, you said: ‘Allāh will never raise up a
