 (American Edition)   60  Messenger after him. ’ Thus does Allāh adjudge as lost those who transgress, and are doubters,” (40 [Al-Mu ’ min]:35) Note: In the above verse a believer of Moses is addressing the Jews who rejected Moses. (10) ۡ َُہُۡظَنُوۡا کَمَا ظَنَنۡتُم ۡاَن و َ اَن ُاَحَدًا ۙ﴿﴾ ّلل ی لَن ۡ یَبۡعَث َ ا “‘And indeed they thought, even as you think, that Allāh would never raise any Messenger. ” (72[Al-Jinn]:8) Note: Above is the Address of a believing Jew of the Holy Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) to the non-believers. A ḥ ādīth on the Finality of Prophethood (1) ٍَِِِّب اَبُوْبَکَر ٍ اَفْضَل ُ ھہذِہ ِ الُْمَّۃ ِ اِل َّ اَن ْ یَّکُوْن َ ن “Abū Bakr is the best from among this community of Muslims except if a prophet is born. ” (Kunū zul- Ḥ aq ā’ iq, p. 4) (2) ٌَِِّب َْیُْ النَّاس ِ اِل َّ اَن ْ یَّکُوْن َ ن اَبُوْبَکَر ٍ خ “Abū Bakr is the best from among all people except if a prophet is born. ” (Al Jāmi‘uṣ - Ṣaghīr by ‘Allama Suyūṭī, p. 6) (3) It is reported in Kha ṣ ai ṣ ul- Kubrā by ‘Allāmah Suyū ṭ ī that Moses said to Allāh, ِ َِبَِّ تِلْک َ الُْمَّۃ ِْنِْ ن اِجْعَل that is, “Make me a prophet of that community of Muslims. ” In reply, Allāh said, نَبٍِّيُھَا مِنْھَا “Their prophet will be from among them. ” (4) Durūd Sharīf ( Ṣalātun - Nabī ) َ ھُم َّ صَل ٍِّ عَل ہ مُح ٍّہ َْ اَلل ٍ مَکََ صَلَّيْت َ عَل ہ اِبْرَاھِمي َْ و َ عَل ہ آل ِ اِبْرَاھِمي مَّد ٍ و َّ عَل ہ آل ِ مُحَمَّد “O Allāh, bless Muḥ ammad (may peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and his people as Thou didst bless Abraham and his people. . . ”
