Î ø ^  ö æ »  ø é º (plural Î ø ç ø ]  ô m»  ö ) : A flask or bottle or anything in which wine or beverage and the like rests or remains or it is of glass; a kind of vessel of glass; the black of the eye; the part of the eye that is surrounded by the white; a woman or wife; a receptacle for fresh or dried dates.  ö æ ø m»  ø Õ ø  ô Ê» Ï ÷ ^ eô ^ Ö» Ï ø ç ø ]  ô m»  ô : Go thou gently with the Î ø ç ø ]  ô m»  ø ] i. e. vessels of glass (76:16). Î ø  ø ]ø ] Ö» Ï ö  » ]F á ø : He collected the Holy Qur'an together. This is the primary signification. Î ø  ø ]ø l ô ] Ö ß $ ^ Î ø è ö : The she-camel became pregnant. ]ø λ  ø ] * l » ]ø æ » Î ø  ø ð ø ] Ö» Û ø  » ]ø é ö : The woman became pure from menstrual discharge and ]ø λ  ø ]ø l ô ] Ö» Û ø  » ]ø é ö also means, she menstruated. ]ø λ  ø ]ø l » also, said of a woman, means she retained the seed of the male in her womb. ]ø λ  ø ]ø l ô ] Ö  ôù mø ^ | ö : The winds blew. ]ø λ  ø ]ø l ô ] Ö ß % r ö ç » Ý ö : The stars set. Î ô  » ð º or Î ö  » ð º : (1) time (this is the primary meaning) ( Î ö  ö æ » ð º and ]ø λ  ø ] ð º and ]ø λ  ö æ 1 plurals); (2) menstruation; (3) period of state of purity preceding and following a menstrual discharge i. e. the period between two menstruations; (4) termination of a menstruation. The word is also sometimes applied to the period of menstruation and that of purity taken together i. e. the whole month.
