It is of two kinds: External i. e. spoken words, and internal i. e. understanding rational speech; human language; word; speech; edict; decree. The word also means, he granted respite. Þø ¿ ø  ø Ê ö ¡ Þ÷ ^ ] Ö  $ m» à ø : He granted him respite in respect of the payment of his debt. æ ø Ö ^ â ö Ü » mö ß» ¿ ø  ö æ » á ø : And they will not be granted respite (2:163). The word also means to have regard for or listen to. æ ø Î ö ç » Öö ç ] ] Þ» ¿ ö  » Þø ^ : And say, listen to us, look to us and have regard for us (2:105). Þø ¿ ø  ø ]ô Öø n» ä ô also means, he stretched or extended or raised his sight towards him whether he saw him or not. It also means, he judged, decided. Þø ¿ ø  ø eø n» à ø ] Ö ß $ ^  ô : He judged and decided the affairs of the people. ]ö Þ» ¿ ö  » Þô o » : Listen thou to me. iø  ø ] â ö Ü » mø ß» ¿ ö  ö æ » á ø ]ô Öø n» Ô ø æ ø â ö Ü » Ö ^ mö f»  ô  ö æ » á ø : Thou seest them looking towards thee but they see not (7:199). It also means, he examined or considered or estimated or investigated the thing. Î ö Ø ô ] Þ» ¿ ö  ö æ ] Ú ø ^  ø ] Ê ô o ] Ö  $ Û F ç ø ] l ô : Say consider ye what is in the heavens. Þø ¿ ø  » l ö Ê ô o ] » ø Ú »  ô : I looked into, inspected or examined the affair. Þø ¿ ø  ø ] Ö × # ä ö ]ô Öø n» ä ô : God regarded him with mercy or bestowed favours upon him. æ ø Ö ^ mø ß» ¿ ö  ö ]ô Öø n» ã ô Ü » mø ç » Ý ø ] Ö» Ï ô nø ^ Ú ø è ô : And He will not look to them or regard them with mercy (3:78). Whereas Þø ¿ ø  ø ]ô Öø n» ä ô means, he saw it and thought upon it and endeavoured to understand it or to know its result, Þø ¿ ø  ø Ê ô n» ä ô means, he considered it.
