This particle is addressed to a near or a distant thing. ]ô p » : A particle denoting a reply meaning Þø Ã ø Ü » (yes or yea) ; importing acknowledgement of the truth of an enunciation and the making a thing known to him who asks information ; a promise to him who seeks or demands. Î ø Ø » ]ô p » æ ø ø eôù o » : Say, yea, by my Lord (10:54). It always occurs before an oath. ]ô p » æ ø ] Ö × # ä ô (Yea, by God). ]ø p % is a noun used in five different meanings. (a) It is used as an interrogative meaning "who", "which" and "what". ]ø m % ã ö Ü » ]ø ì ö ç » Õ ø : Who or which of them is thy brother.
