مکث مطر اسْتَطَاعُوْا مُضِيًّا : They would not be able to move or go forward (36:68). مَطَرَ ]aor يَمْطُرُ inf. noun مَطَرَتْ أَوْ أَمْطَرَتِ السَّمَاءُ مَطَرًا : The sky rained. مَطَرَتْهُمُ السَّمَاءُ : The sky rained upon them. مَطَرٌ : Rain )أَمْطَارٌ plural(. أَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا : We rained upon them a rain )26:174(. الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ : Whereon was rained an evil rain )25:41(. مُمْطِرٌ : Act. part. from هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُّمْطِرُنَا أَمْطَرَ : This is a cloud which will give us rain )46:25( يَوْمٌ مُّمْطِرٌ : A rainy day. مَطَرَ الْفَرَسُ : The horse went quick or fast. مَطَا لک ]aor. يَمْطُرْ inf. noun مَطَا بِالْقَوْمِ مَطْوًا : He travelled far with the people. تَمَطَّى : He drew long, stretched himself and yawned; he walked along proudly and extended his hands. الْمَطَا : Back تَمَطَّى means to raise one's back; it is a sign of pride. ذَهَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّى : He went to his kinsfolk strutting along proudly (75;34). الْمَعْزُ Goat )6:144( مع With; together with; at the same time with; along with; among )4:70( جِئْتُ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ : I came from among the people i. e. مِنْ عِنْدِهِمْ مَعَنَ ]aor. يَمْعُنُ inf. noun مَعَنَ الْمَاءُ مَعْنًا : The water flowed smoothly; مَعْنٌ : Going far in a matter; advance quickly and far. الْمَاعُوْنَ : Household utensils; Zakat or poor-rate; obedience, submission; rain; water; goodness )107:8( مَاءٌ مَّعِينٌ : Flowing water )67:31(. الْمَعْيُّ وَالْمِعْيُّ ]Plural فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ .
