فسد فزع aid or succour. فَزِعْتُ مِنَ اللَّهِ like as one says خِفْتُ مِنْهُ oras Mubarred says in the "Kamil", its primary signification is the 'fearing' or 'being in fear' or 'afraid' or 'frightened' or 'terrified'. Then by a metonymical application, it signifies a people going forth quickly to repel an enemy that has come upon them suddenly, and this meaning has become proper. فَرَعٌ also signifies the seeking or demanding of aid or succour. فَزِعَ إِلَيْهِ : He sought his : He aided or succoured the man. إِلَيْهِ : He had recourse to him or it for refuge or protection. فَزِعَ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ : He became roused from his sleep. فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ : He was afraid of them )38:23( فَرَعٌ : Fear or fright; a fearful event. وَ هُمْ مِّنْ فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ امِنُوْنَ : They will be secure from terror that day )27:90( فَزَّعَهُ : He made a fearful event to befall him. فَرَّعَ عَنْهُ : He removed fear or fright from him. فَرِّعَ عَنْهُ : Fear or fright was removed from him. حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ : Until when fear shall be removed فَزِعَ الرَّجُلَ from their hearts (34:24). فَزِعَ فَسَحَ ]aor. يَفْسَحُ inf. noun فَسْحٌ and فَسَحَ لَهُ . [ تَفَسَّحَ )as also تَفَسَّحَ( : He made room or ample room for him. تَفَسَّحُوْا فِي الْمَجَالِسِ )syn. تَوَسَّعُوا( : Make room in your assemblies )58:12( فَسَحَ الْمَكَانُ : The place was or became spacious, roomy, wide or ample. فُسُودٌ and فَسَادٌ inf. noun يَفْسُدُ aor فَسُدَ and يَفْسِدُ and يَفْسُدُ aor] فَسَدَ contr. of صَلَحَ [ : It or he was or became bad, evil, corrupt, unsound, wicked, depraved; devoid of virtue or efficacy; in a corrupted, impaired state; in a state of disorder, destruction, waste or ruin; it became altered for the worse; it became null, void or of no account; it came to naught or perished. لَوْ كَانَ فِيْهِمَا الِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَنَا : If there had been in them other gods besides Allah, then surely both would have gone to ruin )21:23( لَفَسَدَتِ الْاَرْضُ : The earth would have become filled with disorder )2:52( أَفْسَدَ is transitive: He or it made, rendered bad, evil, corrupt, unsound, wicked; deprived of virtue, efficacy; it corrupted, impaired, injured, infected; it destroyed, ruined, disturbed, disorganized contr. of أَفْسَدَ الْمَالَ اَصْلَحَ : He wasted the property. إِذَا دَخَلُوْا قَرْيَةً اَفْسَدُوْهَا : When they enter a town, they 651
