رهب رمن Merdwaih as quoted by Fath-ul-Qadir. شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ : The month of Ramadhan is that in which the Holy Qur'an was sent down (2:186). لک رُمَّانٌ رَمَنَ : The pomegranate. وَنَخْلٌ وَ رُمَّانٌ : And dates and pomegranates (55:69). رَمَى ]aor. يَرْمِي inf. noun رَمَى الشَّيْءَ أَوْ بِالشَّيْءِ رَمْيٌّ : He cast threw or flung the thing رَمَى السَّهْمَ عَنِ الْقَوْسِ : He shot the arrow from the bow. رَمَاهُ بِحِجَارَةٍ : He cast stones at him; he pelted him with stones. وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ : And thou threwest not when thou didst throw )8:18( تَرْمِيْهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ : Casting stones at them or striking them against stones )1055( إِنَّهَا تَرْمِنْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ : It throws up sparks like castles )77:33( رَمَهُ : He accused him, calumniated him. وَالَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ : Those who calumniate their wives )24:7(. رَمَاهُ بِسُوْءٍ : He cast an evil imputation upon him; he accused or suspected him of evil. ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيْئًا : Then imputes it to an innocent person )4:113( رَمَاهُ اللهُ بِدَاهِيَةٍ : God smote him with a calamity. رَمَاهُ بِلِسَانِه : He spoke against him. رَمْيَةٌ : A single throw. رَهِبَ aor. يَرْهَبُ inf. noun رَهَبٌ and رُهْبٌ and رَهْبٌ and رَهْبَةٌ and رَهْبَانٌ[ : He feared or he feared with caution. رَهِبَهُ and رَهِبَ مِنْهُ : He feared him or it, or he feared him or it with caution. فِي قَلْبِي مِنْهُ رَهْبَةٌ أَوْ رَهْبٌ : In my heart is fear of him or it. هُمْ لِرَبِّهِمْ يَرْهَبُوْنَ : Who fear their Lord )7:155( اَرْهَبَهُ : He or it frightened him or caused him to fear, or disquieted him or agitated him by frightening. تُرْهِبُوْنَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ : Whereby you frighten the enemy of Allah )8:61(. اسْتَرْهَبَهُ : He frightened him; he called forth fear of him, so that men feared him. وَاسْتَرْهَبُوْهُمْ : And frightened them; struck them with awe )7:117( رَهْبٌ )inf. noun ) : Fear, cautious fear. وَاضْهُمْ اِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ : And press the arm toward thyself that thou be not afraid )28:33( رَهَبٌ )inf. noun ) : Fear, cautious fear. يَدْعُوْنَنَا رَغَبًا وَّ رَهَبًا : And they called on Us in hope and fear )21:91( لک १० رَهْبَةٌ )inf. noun ) : Fear, cautious fear. لَأَنْتُمْ أَشَدُّ رَهْبَةً فِي صُدُوْرِهِمْ : Certainly, they have greater fear of you in their hearts (59:14). رُهْبَانٌ )plural of )رَاهِبٌ( : Fearing; those who fear or fear with 344
