رسل رسل act. part. : Those who are firmly rooted in knowledge or science; those who have deep knowledge or firm grasp of or commit to memory, the Book of God (3:8). 28 رَسِلَ ]aor. يَرْسَلُ inf. noun رَسَالَةً and رَسَلاً[ : He (a camel) was or became easy in pace; or it (hair) became lank, not crisp. رَسَّلَ فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ : He read (leisurely) and easily. رَسَلَهُ )inf. noun مُرَاسَلَةٌ( : He sent a Message or letter to him. أَرْسَلَ كِتَابًا : He sent a book. أَرْسَلَ اللَّهُ رُسُلَهُ : God sent His messengers. أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًاً : We sent Our Messengers to them )5:71( أَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِ لِسَانَهُ : He let loose his tongue against him. أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزًا : We sent punishment upon )or against them( أَرْسَلَ فَلانًا عَلَيْهِ : He set such a one on him or gave him mastery or authority or power over him. أَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا : He (God) set or sent against them birds )1054( إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِيْنَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ : We set the satans on disbelievers; or We give the satans power, complete authority or dominion over the disbelievers )19:84( أَرْسَلَهُ عَنْ يَدِهِ : He forsook or deserted him. رُسُلٌ ) رَسُوْلٌ plural) : A messenger مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ : Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah )48:30( رَسُوْلٌ is applied without variation to male and a female and to one and to two and to a plural number sometimes. Thus رَسُوْلٌ )as) meaning a messenger, is like عَدُوٌّ and صَدِيقٌ in its being used alike a masculine and feminine and singular and dual and plural. فَقُوْلَا إِنَّا رَسُوْلُ رَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ : And say we are the Messengers of the Lord of the worlds )26:17(. In (20:48) we have فَقُوْلًا إِنَّا رَسُوْلًا رَبِّكَ : Say we are the )two) Messengers of God. (20:48) In )26:78( عَدُوٌّ is used as plural. فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِيْ إِلَّا رَبُّ الْعَلَمِينَ : They are all enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds. رُسُلٌ )plural( ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا : Then We sent Our Messengers one after the other (23:45) is (syn. with رَسُوْلٌ : One who is sent; a Messenger. إِنَّ صَالِحًا مُّرْسَلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهِ : That Salih is one sent by his Lord )7:76( مُرْسَلُوْنَ and مُرْسَلِينَ )plural(. وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ : And the Messengers spoke the truth )36:53( وَسَلامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ : And peace be upon The Messengers )37:182( مُرْسَلٌ is pass. part. and its feminine is 28 28 By those : وَالْمُرْسَلَتِ عُرْفًا . مُرْسَلاتٌ is مُرْسَلَةٌ and the plural of مُرْسَلَةٌ sent forth to spread good )772( مُرْسِلٌ is act. part. from أَرْسَلَ 325
